Sage 100 Contractor helps small and growing contractors manage their businesses by combining construction management, estimating, operations, accounting and reporting/analysis functionality in one integrated system. Core accounting functions, including payroll and AIA billing, are augmented by applications for managing everything from purchasing, subcontracts and change orders to equipment, inventory and service. The system also offers powerful, critical path management scheduling capabilities. Sage Master Builder provides a number of tools for increasing productivity and improving project oversight, including an Executive Dashboard for at-a-glance financial management, over 1,000 pre-built reports with drill-down capabilities, and a Project Work Center for managing key project details.
Sage has addressed some significant shortcomings of the system by making transaction voids very simple and eliminating the need to archive current year transactions before opening the next fiscal year for data entry. Recent improvements include workflow alerts and role-based dashboards.
